North Berkeley

North Berkeley is a wonderful community filled with character and a love for good food, wine, art, and music. North Berkeley is located between Hearst Avenue and Eunice Street. Parks, such as Codornices Park and the Rose Garden, along with friendly residents help to define this neighborhood. North Berkeley is within walking distance of Solano Avenue, Hopkins Street, and the Monterey Market area, making it very accessible.

Individual areas such as the Monterey Market neighborhood with its urban community feel and own daily farmer’s market, and public recreation facilities, including a pool, help define the unique quality of North Berkeley. Other neighborhoods, such as Gourmet Ghetto (a collection of dining and food service establishments), Northbrae, and Thousand Oaks (known for its eclectic shopping) are known for their safety and amenities. North Berkeley has a small town charm, while only being a ten minute drive from the city, with even less of a commute with Bart.
